Language
Spanish is the official language of Guatemala, but there are more than 20 indigenous Dialects spoken.
Spanish and the dialect of Quiché (K’iché) are spoken where S.O.S. mission teams visit. Designated bi-lingual SOS team translators communicate with local bi-lingual and tri-lingual translators. To participate in an SOS Mission Trip, speaking Spanish or Quiché is not required but those skills are always appreciated.
